Relais & Chateaux rates restaurants and hotels in over 50 countries including North America.

The Zagat Survey covers 43 U.S. metropolitan areas + Toronto, Vancouver, Paris,
London and Tokyo. Be careful ratings are compiled through parton votes who are not necessarily gourmands. Look for the lists for "Top Food" and by cuisine such as "French." Click on their logo to go to one city from whence you may select another.


Wine Spectator grants 3 levels of Awards to restaurants with great Wine lists. Top SOmmeliers are not impressed by Wine Spectator but there is no one else. Area covered is North America with a few additions world - wide.





Gourmet Magazine creates its own lists and stories of the best American, Canadian and world-wide restaurants. You can find archived stories here. But be careful, a list of the 200 Best restaurants does not mean fine dining. There could be a "best burrito" in there. Still it is useful as long as you can do your own editing.
